St Anne’s Church is one of the splendid examples of Poland‘s neoclassical architecture, located adjacent to the Castle Square of the Old Town, marking the beginning of the Royal Route. It features a gilded Baroque interior with breathtaking frescoes, which stands in stark contrast to its neoclassical facade that dates from 1788 and has remained unchanged ever since. The church is one of the oldest buildings in Warsaw, among the few architectures in Warsaw’s Old Town that escaped major damage during WWII. The structure we see today dates from the 1770s, designed by the royal architect Piotr Aigner. With a rococo high altar and an impressive organ, the stunning interior captivate all who go inside. Moreover, It also boasts a viewing platform that offers superb panoramic views over the Warsaw Old Town and its surroundings.
