Kamienne Schodki (Stone Steps) was built in the late 15th century, is a steep and narrow street leading to Warsaw’s Old Town. It connects the higher part of the Old Town with the lower area on the Vistula River and is sandwiched in between two houses and a tenement house. In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, it was a place frequently visited by artists. As you wander through the street, of which the walls on either side are lined with lanterns and plants, you can see a good view of the Vistula River. With the unique view of the river, It‘s also a popular place frequently visited by artists, which includes Napoleon and Prince Józef Antoni Poniatowski.
