Shopping at local markets is a great way to get to taste Polish food and meet hospitable Polish people. Hala Gwardii is such a fun place that features various food stands with different kinds of tasty food from Poland and around the world. Not only the good food and drink, but there is also filled with gift shops that you can find some nice natural cosmetics, natural Polish honey, polish sausage, and goods from other countries, all at reasonable prices. This historical market and food hall was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and until 1944 it was the largest large-area commercial facility in the capital and was used as a performance hall. Now the building has been renovated and turned into a gourmet space with a good atmosphere. It’s a place to hang out, meet friends, feast on local and imported foods or enjoy the pleasure of shopping.
