Chase the treasures of Cracow during 2 days tour. Cracow is probably Europe’s best kept secret. It offers an unique and lifetime experience. You will taste delicious food, admire beautiful scenery and learn history of Cracow and the rest of Poland.
You will visit the UNESCO-listed historic centre of Cracow, Auschwitz Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp, and one of the oldest in the world salt mine. At night time, there will be time to immerse yourself in a city buzzing life.
Day 1 – Cracow – Arrival – Old Town
Arrival at Cracow airport and transfer to the hotel.
A leisure, evening stroll through the Main Square, Europe’s largest and most beautiful town square. Before we try some delicious Polish food, we start the evening with a visit at Pjalnia Vodki i Piwa. There will be a chance to try different variety of polish vodka and work your appetite.
Day 2 – Cracow – Wawel Hill – Wawel Castle – Wieliczka Salt Mine
Start the day with a walk through the beautiful streets of Cracow with our Local Specialist, showcases the Royal Castle and Cathedral on Wawel Hill. Visit the fascinating churches with different architectural styles, the world’s biggest wooden altar (carved by Wit Stwosz in 1477-1489), the legendary Wawel Castle, the Renaissance Cloth Hall and the Mariacki Church. Be sure to listen for the trumpeter’s call!
In the afternoon, we will take a tour to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, one of the largest tourist attractions in Poland, registered on the UNESCO list. Visit Chapel of Saint Kinga, the oldest and the most attractive underground chapel, which is 101m underground.
Day 3 – Cracow – Auschwitz-Birkenau – Departure
On your second day we will visit the Auschwitz Birkenau, which was a largest concentration camp, which was established during the German Nazi regime.
This one of the most significant historical sites in Europe, is a symbol of one of the greatest crime ever made against human beings, being the majority were Jews. The site touches peoples’ souls and give all generations a chance to learn and understand the fullness of human sensitivity.
In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport.
